In Memoriam

In a spot where many homeless people have spent cold-long nights, beneath a bridge Downtown, Pittsburgh, shadows are cast on the wall during a memorial service for the six homeless individuals who died in 2007 on the streets of the city. The memorial service was part of the National Coalition for the Homeless's National Homeless Persons' Memorial Day, which is held each year on the first day of winter, the longest night of the year, to call attention to the tragedy of homelessness.

I like this image...shame the shadow's aren't more defined. I might come down on it, get rid of that mesh pattern on the top.

I liked this photo too. I didn't expect to get anything really good from this assignment. I should have done a better job explaining the pattern at the top of the frame. Each square is a plaque with the name of a homeless person who died on the streets of Pittsburgh. At the end of every year they place them at this memorial underneath a bridge, Downtown.

I think this is an excellent display of seeing something different. I saw Rebecca Droke's stuff from this event first. I thought she did a really nice job but your take really opened up the possibilities at an event like this. You really searched every nook and cranny to find a different picture.
