Sgt. Ryan Baumann's Funeral

I am so honored to have been able to attend Sgt. Ryan Baumann's funeral this past weekend and to have the opportunity to meet so many of his fellow soldiers, friends and family members. These are a few photos from the last few days. I hope to update this posting in the coming days, but wanted to post a few photos to share with everyone. To Lauren, Bob, Cindy, Gary, Christina, and everyone else who welcomed me and treated me so great I thank you for allowing me to be part of everything. Meeting all of you I can see how Ryan became and was such a great person. Seeing the thousands of people who lined the roads waving flags, saluting and holding signs, he not only died a hero but reminded all of us about what patriotism means and what our country is all about. As I drove along in the funeral procession to Arlington National Cemetery and watched mile after mile of people, I was so proud to be an American and I thank Ryan for that.

Justin,
Thank you so much for these memorable moments caught on film! I am from St. Mary's County and was also impressed and extremely PROUD of our community for the awesome patriotic Hero's Farewell they gave Ryan! I was at the end of the procession and was amazed at the miles and miles of thankful Americans who turned out for this solemn occassion. Whenever anyone asked Lauren what they could do for her, her reply was"just give Ryan a Hero's welcome home and farewell." I'm proud to say her request was honored in a huge way. I will never forget this experience as it is like NOTHING I have ever seen in my life. Again thank you for your photos and our prayers will be with you as well in your future endeavors!

Thank you Ryan for reminding us all what it TRULY means to be an American!!

Justin,
I am Ryan's father. After reviewing the many photos and videos, I want to thank you and all those for showing support for Ryan and all the soldiers continuing the fight for everyone's freedom (world wide). This shows the soldiers we are still behind them and with them. Many thanks go out to the police officers supporting the funneral procession to Arlington Cemetery. Thank you all for the memories in photos and videos you have given me and the family. Continue to keep all soldiers in your thoughts. Never forget...Never give up...
Thanks again

Justin,
Thanks for everything you done to bring Ryans story to the public. He is my friend, my hero and the person who i can call a wonderful friend who will be missed so much. I thought all the way to the cemetery this was a great leader who always put everybody first and the way he was welcomed home and who got a wonderful send off like he deserved. I saw a side of people who i never seen the love they showed this fallen solider who never wanted anything for himself but to be the best at everything he did. To me Ryan will always be the one who i can turned to when I need someone to talk to. To the family of this great person if they need anything I will try to fufilled Ryans memory and pass on his training on to younger solider and that they can learn from one of the best. Like I said durning the speech ONCE AN EAGLE ALWAYS AN EAGLE. They are having a tribute here on Sept. 12 here at Fort Campbell for all the Fallen Soliders at Fort Campbell. They changed my flight again. I will always remember Ryan for what he stood for. Ryans familys is my extended family now and I'm glad to have that extra support. I'm going to keep his family in my prayers and I will try to make them proud. Thanks again for everything. Jonathan Cayce

Justin,
I am Ryan's mother. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I cannot find the words to express the depth of my gratitude to everyone who had a part in saying farewell to Ryan. The scale of patriotic expression was phenomenal, as people lined the streets with flags, banners and fire/rescue equipment in St. Mary's, Charles and Prince George's Counties in Maryland.

Like Ryan's father, I want to express my appreciation for all the police who coordinated this event and kept us safe. It could have never happened without your assistance.

This is what is right about America; this is what it means to be an American. Justin, I will be forever grateful to you for documenting this wonderful tribute in such a professional, dignified manner.

As his father expressed, a show of support like this demonstrates our support of the troops still in harms way. Their mission is an important one...freedom is never free. Continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

To PFC Jonathan Cayce and all others in his unit, we are so proud of all you do and look forward to your safe return. Thank you. Godspeed. Cindy J. Lohman

Thank you. I know this has meant so much to the Baumann family and Lauren. You have done an amazing job. It breaks my heart but still holds a beauty I can't explain. Ryan was a good man and always did an amazing job at the Army Balls that I have attended. Thanks for this tribute it stands for so much.

This is one amazing video. Ive seen many of the others but this one is by far the best..because of lauren speaking in the background. I will never know Ryan but i will never in my life forget what he did for our country. I was near the end of the procession and i will never forget the number of people i saw that say or the burial at arlington. I hope that the number of deaths goes down so that people dont have to feel that pain anymore. I would give anything to take away even the slightest bit of The Baumann's and Lauren's pain.

Thank you Ryan for the sacrifice you made for us. We will never forget it.

Justin,
I'm a good friend of Lauren's and I just want to say thank you. I was unable to attend the funeral and being able to look at your pictures had enabled me to see what I missed. You did an extraordinary job at capturing every moment. As previously stated, Laurens wants and needs were met, Ryan was given the good bye that he deserved. Your pictures truly touched my heart. Thank you for doing a wonderful job, you along with Lauren and Ryan's family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Let us never forget Freedom is not Free.

Thank you,
Sarah Adams

Justin,

I just want to thank you so much for putting these pictures up and all the others of Ryan.I wish i had said this sooner but i couldnt come to the reality that he is actually gone. I never thought in a million years that Ryan Baumann the boy my sister fist went out with, the boy who made me some kick ass chocolate chip cookies would actually be gone from this earth. I loved him very much like a brother to me. I know he is safe now and I dont have to worry anymore. It's so hard for me to still look at these pictures and the ones of him over there without crying. I know how much he loved and was loved by Lauren. He will NEVER be truely gone because he memory will live on forever. All i can keep thinking and what keeps me going is that I know I'll see him again one day. Once again thank you so very much for having these on here.
